My Pictures
Pictures of what I have been doing.
Below is BAK which should be on every page, here it is again. |

SIII - BAK.
This is a picture of our Series III. [Needs a wash, afraid off the additional water that will fill up inside.

Rear Bulkhead
After fitting Defender seats I needed to be able to utilise the full extension of the seat rails and from the picture below I got the idea to cut out the bulkhead, gives at least 5 inches more leg room to the seats. Currently not finished as you can see, but we are in the process of having some 20 x 20 x 2.3mm SHS bent to a 70mm radius for the corners and then a 25 x 4mm flat bar will be welded to it and the whole thing Pop riveted to the remainder of the bulkhead. Next will be carpet over the wheel arches, Ive bought some PVC intertwined carpet used for outdoor matting, this way I can still hose out the inside. |

Idea.
Where I stole the idea from. |
Mod of fuel filler pipe cover.
With a pair of tin snips, a block of wood and a G- clamp, I modified the fuel filler cover to clear the cut out and new rail to be installed. Took all of about 8 minutes. |

Side Steps.
I couldn't get locally from my usual suppliers the correct side steps, so I got two sets of rear door step and made my own bracket by copying the ones below. Now Omar can get in no problems at all. |

Reverse Light Switch.
This is a good picture to show where and how to mount the switching for a reverse light in a Series III. Again not my picture so I hope who evers it is dont mind, the interesting thing that may people question is the fact that it works opposite to how a plungger switch normaly works. Eg. depress and it completes the circut and not cut it out. Lucas for you. |
Under Dash Evap Unit.
Being in Malaysia and an expat I wanted a few creature comforts in my Landy, Air Con was a must. Took a long time to track down a unit and when I did I found that they are everywhere. |

Parabolic Suspension.
I was hooked on the idea for a while, softer ride, more articulation etc., then I found a site which spelt out the problems of Para's and their method of setting up original leaf springs for a softer ride. Click on the picture to be directed to their article. |
Rims. ???
To get a better turning circle and also give my 88" a bit beefer look without using wheel spacers I found that 109" rims are different than stock 88" rims. The 109"'s are offset by about 1", so when I get time I intend to change my 88" rims for 109''s. |

Air Con. Evap. II.
Found this picture on a local web site. Just what I was looking for. Too late now I bought a full under dash unit and am in the process of fitting. |
Ali chequer plate.
Above is what someone else has done, right, is my effort. I was thinking of polishing and sealing, but Ive find that even now the glare is too bright and I might actually paint it Mat Black. |

International Scout Traveller
345 cubic inch 4x4 Auto, this is only here because I use to own one, what a rig. Still had the original sticker on the dash, "Made by the International Harvester Company USA". Just a peice of farming machinery. |
Wow!
This is only here because this is how all Series III's should look. "Sorry officier, what Kancil did I run over". |
